What to eat before you over eat
Work work work work work work, what you working with? How labor intensive is it to work off everything your going to consume today on Labor day? I know my questions are ones for the books, but they are just quick reminders of the way we can incorporate simple changes to make a huge difference for our health.
Just like Thanksgiving or any other major holiday, we over do it, and the adverse effects linger on well after the big day of eating.
Mancave loves food. We could eat until our hearts desire or we could try one small meal that will allow us to still eat what we want, but unknowingly force us to eat less at today”s huge BBQ. With some of us already having our way with the BBQ pit, I have a tiny change that will have you walking yourself home instead of leaning on someone for assistance. ha-ha.
A carb, protein, and fruit can go a long way. How”s that? Simple. By creating casino a silky meal for our palate.
Here goes:
Ezekiel bread. Hearty, full grained, high protein, real fiber. This can be swapped for a good multi grain bread.
Natural peanut butter. Ingredients should be just peanuts. This doesn”t fill our bodies with artificial supplements which will only hinder processing later tonight.
Bananas. Sweet, moist, and smooth to carry everything through.
Together, these 3 simple items will subconsciously limit gorging at the BBQ. No one says you can”t eat like a madman on Labor Day, but this treat allows just for that without the guilty feelings of having that extra hot dog.
Bam, Boom, and Voila!
Keep it light, simple, pleasureful, easy on the pocketbook, and healthy.
