Power pose like Beyonce

Beyonce is known for her confidence, power, and presence… But now she can also teach other women to emulate the same thing! Power pose like Beyonce and it just might give you a confidence boost.

Power posing is a new trend of confidence boosting exercises. Many describe it as changing your body language to make you look and feel more confident! This is important because our attitude may follow from our behavior. Harvard business school professor, Amy Cuddy states, “When our body language is confident and open, other people respond in kind, unconsciously reinforcing not only their perception of us but also our perception of ourselves.”

Beyonce even has influence on major creative directors like Shonda Rhimes, who states that during her morning routine she has a “dance party” with Beyonce! According to Health.com she says, ” So, Beyoncé and I are having a little dance party every morning. I’m getting in formation,” she says. “And that usually puts me in a good mood. And then I leave the house.”

So if Beyonce can add positivity into someone’s day, what else can she do?

Learn how to be more confident and be a good role model with these 3 power poses from Beyonce:

1. Stand like Wonder Woman

Just like Bey standing with your hands on your hips can boost your confidence. “Research shows that standing tall with your chest out and hands on your hips can make you feel bolder. In fact, in a Ted Talk social psychologist Amy Cuddy noted that holding this pose for just two minutes can boost your levels of testosterone and lower your levels cortisol, and that these hormonal change can configure your brain to be assertive, confident and comfortable.”

2. Fill your wardrobe with red

Beyonce is always rocking red and there’s some secrets behind the powerful color! Red is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. Red is a very emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure.

3. Be your own hero

The definition of being a hero is a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. No, she’s not a man but if you just give a little listen to some of Beyoncé’s lyrics, she definitely puts herself on a pedestal!

Go home and practice your power poses! Stand tall and proud, so you inspire others to do the same.
