Parents who can not agree for their child

When your co-parenting and not together anymore things can become a bit challenging to say the least. Rapper Wiz Khalifa and Ex-Wife, Amber Rose seem to be experiencing that issue as we speak.

Over the weekend Wiz posted pictures of a birthday party he put together for his son without the ‘birthday boy.’ Baby Sebastian wasn’t in attendance because Amber apparently did not agree to this celebration.

Unfortunately one too many of us encounter situations like this or have really good friends who do. Its’ not easy co-parenting when you don’t agree with what this person believes in. Clearly if you did, you would still be  together with that person. Parents who can not agree for their child go through lots of turmoil that later seeps onto their child.

So how could parents agree to disagree

#1 Never use your child as a messenger.

#2 Its’ hard to do, but always think about what is best for the child.

#3 Try not to talk bad about one another to anyone or in front of your child.

#4 Try and maintain a schedule that works for both parents ahead of time. (like maybe a month in advance)

#5 Commit to meeting weekly to insure you’re both on the same page.

#6 Keep conversations kid focused.

#7 Always have your child dropped off on switch day not picked up. (you don’t want to interrupt anything going on with the other parent)
