Become a Pescatarian like Trina Braxton
I recently got the chance to catch up with Braxton Family Values, Trina Braxton and we discussed her transition into becoming a pescaratrian. You may have heard of a vegetarian or vegan, but have you ever heard of someone being a pescatarian? She explains it perfectly in the video above. And you can become a pescatarin like Trina Braxton. A pescatarian is a person who abstains from eating all meats except for fish or seafood. It’s a healthier lifestyle choice and also a way to maintain a healthy diet. If you have ever thought of becoming a vegetarian but wasn’t sure if you could endure the cold turkey transition, then take baby steps and try pescetarianism. Some of the benefits of becoming a pescatarian are personal health weight-loss and longevity, a reduced environmental footprint and animal cruelty concerns. Not only are you bettering your health by eliminating a majority of unhealthy meats, but you are also contributing to a healthier earth. Other great health factors includes decrease risk in heart disease, diabetes, cancer and increase your intake of healthy protein. A health study research found that more people who get their protein from fish and plant based foods verses red meat decrease their chances of premature death. I would say thats a big motivator to at least try the pescatarian lifestyle. Think about it, if you could decrease the chances of major chronic diseases that could potentially kill you, all while enjoying some type of meat then whats the harm. The great thing about eating seafood or fish is that you have a variety of different kinds, you don’t have to stick with just fish all week. And don’t worry, I have forgotten about those who are allergic to shellfish, there are alternatives for you as well. What do you have to lose, other than a couple of unwanted pounds!
I challenge you to try cutting out all meats except fish/seafood for at least 30 days. You’ll definitely feel the difference of energy running through your body, along with a glowing skin. Let us know in the comments below your thoughts on pescetarianism and if you’re willing to take the challenge.
