Have you had a golden facial?
Ahh….the golden facial. It just sounds like luxury. It is probably because it was specifically for celebrities and the royals once upon a time. Now, almost everybody is lucky enough to find this option at their local high-end spa. This facial is probably one of the most pleasing treatments to receive at the spa. Don’t be alarmed when you see that high price, but hey, it’s important to spoil yourself every now and then!
Gold facials are traditional but with a twist. It will give you your normal typical treatment – exfoliation, cleanse, forming, anti-aging, treats hyperpigmentation, etc. Due to variations of techniques, you may experience getting 24 karat massaging sheets placed on your face, or colloidal gold; which is a liquid form. Gold has antioxidant elements that repair sun damage and get rid of environmental toxins. Clients tend to claim that their skin appears to be more clear and feels softer after treatment due to cell regeneration.
When gold mask treatments made their cameo in the beauty industry, prices started at a whopping $1000. Thankfully, over the years, more spas have incorporated this facial treatment, prices dropped tremendously. They’re still not cheap, but definitely reasonable for some!
Have you had a golden facial? Find the cheapest option but still out of your price range? Not to worry! There are many DIY options for at home treatments. Here are some highly recommended options for my money savers:
