Snapback in beast mode! Whether you just had a baby, you are a working, you are a  business woman, single parented, or busy stay at home mom, we all need time to SnapBack.

Whatever it is that snaps us back sometimes is that very thing that pushes us there. Some women say it’s called the “superwoman syndrome.” You know, the syndrome that overexerts us in every way. It’s when as women take on way too much responsibility and want no help with it. We want to be the cook, the cleaner, the handy man, the super mom, the best at work, the financial advisor, the therapist and you know I can keep going. This mentality really handicaps us in so many ways. We take on too much then have no time for anything else. We don’t even have time to take care of ourselves like snapping back to us and our health. No matter how you want to look at it, you have no excuses not to take care of your health. After all, how are you going to raise a healthy family if you can’t even raise yourself the right way? Just saying…

  1. Life balance- make sure you try and add balance to your relationship and schedule. This will help you fall back if you are doing too much.
  2. Make time- purposely carve time out for yourself.  Read a book, do some yoga, go for a walk, hit a movie, whatever works, just do it!!
  3. Leave your pride at home- it is hard to do but ask your partner, family member, or coworker for help. Everyone knows you are a strong woman and wants to be apart of your fold anyway so add them to the mix. If you can’t be a leader and show someone else how great you maneuver then your not setting a good example as this “superwoman.”

Focus on your goals but remember that life is not that serious! Enjoy yourself and be a “superwoman” that’s smiles, can take a joke, have fun, be respected and set examples!
