SnapBack with timing and consistency

Week three was interesting. I was a bit more determined and a bit more interested in the work out. I started off with my traditional treadmill workout for 20 minutes. Did the same thing with the weights and the ball only more reps and heavier on the weights. ADarryl came to my fitness center and we took the work out outside this time. Even though the weather wasn’t that great we still managed to do some suicides, Toe kick’s, lunges, and sit ups on the ball, all while working our voices. On the treadmill we took the incline up a notch. We also practiced our Me me me’s in vocal coaching as we walked on the treadmill. Arm work on a treadmill is pretty crucial. Lots of times we get on a treadmill and we don’t work our arms. This was fun to incorporate the arm work into the vocal exercise. It helped with breathing and keeping the arms working out while doing a basic treadmill walk.

I still struggled with my time and management for the week. However, it has now become a routine to squeeze at least a half hour workout in. Hubby and I also took our traditional walk to the park and made it a light jog as well. Jogging on the treadmill and on concrete are two different things. And since I am training to run in the Peachtree Road race., I must get my legs and feet running on concrete to prepare. Thanks to Mizuno for sending those Peachtree Road race officials sneakers. They are super supportive with a great arch and snug fit to run on concrete grounds. Mizuno also gave me a workout shirt that is super cute and came in handy for this memorial day weekend special.
Speaking of memorial day weekend that did make it kind of difficult for me to stick to a regimen and my diet food wise. I went back to Jersey and spend a lot of time barbecuing. But of course barbecues are never always the best when trying to diet and watch what you eat. Everything was pretty healthy except for the fact that there were lots of sweets and I just couldn’t resist. temptation is everywhere at a BBQ or celebration so I took full advantage and chucked it up as a cheat day. I definitely did a little over indulging but it’s all good. I won’t beat myself up about it, I will just work harder and move on to a kick ass workout week.
