Salads tend to get boring after using the same dressings and ingredients but I bet you haven’t thought about making a salad to eat as an in between quick meal. Or maybe you have! Either way, we wanted to share this quick and easy salad with a twist, that’s not as bland as the rest.

Since it’s the fall we will add our dried apples, straight from the apple picking farm. These dried slices will add some fun to your daily salad. First we grabbed the Kale because we too often use spinach or arugula. But kale has so many great benefits, it really would be silly of you not to get this great source of nutrition to fuel your day. Next cut your sweet onion and tomato. Long slices usually taste better when making a salad but do as you please. Don’t forget about your green pepper. After all is set and done, you’ll drizzle some sliced almonds for your protein source. We need to add the dressing, so in this case we add coconut oil, lime juice, and flax seeds. Sounds like a crazy mix but why not! That’s what making a fun, non-bland salad is all about. Treat your tastebuds to something new!

Try it at home! Let us know if you added something different to the mix. We won’t bite unless it’s a good treat!
