Spin like Ariana Grande at the VMA’s
Ariana Grande has everyone wanting to hit the gym following her performance on this years VMA’s. What everyone wants to know is how was she able to continue to sing and perform, all while spinning on the bike. Grande didn’t miss a beat, she hit all of her notes and hit all of dance cues. So how did she do it? Well according to Grande’s social media page, she did a lot of concentration and practice in the gym. A great performance like this doesn’t come as no surprise, as we have many entertainers that do it. The important aspect we must not forget it preparation. So what can you do to prepare to perform like a star.
According to some research, you want to find time to get your cardio work out in, daily. Like, Ariana you can use spin as your cardio. Running, jogging, swimming..etc are some alternates for cardio.
Next, you want to exercise your core muscles, find some time to incorporate weight lifting, abs work outs, and/or arms. Working out your core area will tone and strengthen your muscles.
Lastly, practice what you preach. Grande didn’t just work out in the gym and wake up on award day like “I’m ready!” She practiced on the bicycle while singing. Just like with anything else. Whatever performance it is you’re preparing for, make sure you do a mock performance. This will help so much come time for the real performance.
Whether you’re having a big time show running around stage or just preparing for a local show in your home time, preparation is key. When it comes to working out, practice makes perfect and its also the healthy way to do. Never go into something, never not once giving it a try. Just think how embarrassing it would have been if the VMA’s was the first time Grande touched a spin bicycle? Remember, you too can pull off an amazing performance singing while spinning!
