Stick your food in a jar
You buy, I buy, we all buy to save something. Sanity, soul, health, and most important, money. But I’m not talking about material desires, I’m talking grub. It’s food-isms brought to you by, me. I take it your left eyebrow just went up like huh. That was my exact thought when I was coming up with something new to try. On this Mancave Monday edition I’m really feeling the prep of food. Yes it’s harder for most to pop up in the morning , let alone put that extra greatness into your food. What if I said you wouldn’t have to do anything but add ingredients. No cooking, mixing, or any of that. Just add. Now your other eyebrow just went up, haha.
Do you have Mason jars? If not, they are cheap at any crafts store or even at your local mart.
Today’s menu is crazy quick. All you have to do is stick your food in a jar.
Oatmeal. I know you said, but-but-but, and well there ain’t any butts.
Big flaked oatmeal, minute oats, it will all work.
Take your jar. fill it half way with oats. I add some Leche (milk), or water, almond milk, or soy milk. Some more liquid halfway. Chop up some small pieces of banana, Apple, strawberries, whatever you wish. You can even throw in a little bit of flaxseed ground or hemp seed. But just a tablespoon. And more liquid. Don’t worry about having too much liquid, the oats will soak it up. The purpose of this is to place everything in the jar close the lid and stick it in the fridge. Everything will work out perfectly. This is true because the liquid will soften everything in the jar and according to your taste if you’d like you may also add some Blue Agave or honey or simply just enjoy the sweetness of the fruit. This literally takes you no more time than cutting up the bananas because all the work will be done for you while in the fridge by itself. Easy peasy and great on your pocketbook.
