Companies are downsizing everyday as the years continue to pass by. They are figuring out more and more ways to consolidate positions and/or grow partnerships with other companies. Some of these businesses, financial needs are not being met and they have no other choice but to sell or shut down. If your employed by one of these companies then your office is probably consumed with gossip, affecting your work ethic and more. Here are ways to get through it all:

1. Acknowledge the change.
2. Acknowledge your fears.
3. Accept your feelings and seek support in others besides your coworkers.
4. Designate worry time when your not trying to focus on more important matters.
5. Understand how transitions work and know what to expect.
6. Get involved in the change.
7. Be flexible
8. Find out ways to become more valuable to the company.
9. Keep working.
