Bring balance to your life
Do you ever find yourself always on the go, your phone constantly ringing or you never have time for yourself? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then you my friend are a very busy person. Surprisingly, people that want to keep busy to help give them a sense of accomplishment or it makes one feel as though their life is full of excitement. What if all of your busy time take away from your “me time,” the time you’re suppose to put to the side to relax, breath and really enjoy life. Its called finding a balance with your everyday life duties. Of course if you’re a workaholic then it can be very difficult to put the phone down from checking emails, but it is very important to be able to find time for self. There are different ways to work out the perfect balanced lifestyle and bring balance to your life for busy people without jeopardizing work.
In recent research, I have found there are nine ways to accomplish a balanced lifestyle. Paul Hulijich’s book Stress Pandemic: The Lifestyle Solution, breaks down each lay out.
- Take Charge. Accept he need for change. You’re worth it.
2.Kick Your Bad Habits. They are most artificial coping mechanisms for stress: you can learn to deal with your stress more directly.
3.Learn to Say NO!!! Not being true to yourself creates disharmony. Learn to listen to you innermost feelings and practice saying no (and yes) in response to them so you don’t feel overwhelmed.
4.Affirmations. This is powerful technique that can be used to create positive out pours into your life and rid of all the negative things that may weigh you down.
- Exercise. This factor is so important on so many levels. Walking, stretching, jogging, any kind of movement of the body can work wonders in eliminating stress. Fabletics always has some great work-out gear, looking good is not a bad way to motivate yourself to get out and take a stroll at the park showing off that summer Beach Body.
- Nutrition. This is another important factor in working out a better balanced lifestyle. Consuming the wrong foods can harm your body in more ways than one. From brain chemistry to sleep deprivation. Minimizing caffeine, refined sugar, alcohol, and processed food and drinking lots of pure water will keep you healthier and help you fight stress.
7.Sleep. This is one of aspects of life busy people miss, however one of the most important things that people need. Find time to sleep, a good nights rest will reassure you a next day full of energy.
8.The Power of Awareness. Be aware of what you think, say and do. Maintain a strong sense of awareness to be able to determine when its time for a break.
9. Don’t Give Up. Like with any new change in life, this will take time. Most importantly continue to practice these different behaviors to succeed a better balanced life.
Changing age old habits takes time, so don’t get impatient if you think your life will never have balance in it, because eventually it will . Remember the most important person is you, so always make time for you and what will make you feel happy. Plus a balanced lifestyle is a healthy lifestyle.
